RAISTLIN HOODED SWEATSHIRT
“You cannot hide from danger. Death floats on the air, creeps through the window, comes with the handshake of a stranger. If we stop living because we fear death, then we have already died."
From sickly young mage to supreme Evil Wizard of High Sorcery, Raistlin Majere is one of the most memorable characters in all of fantasy literature. Introduced in 1984 as the protagonist and eventual antagonist of the first six New York Times bestselling Dragonlance novels by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, Raistlin’s mystery and cunning have captivated the imagination of readers around the globe ever since.
This striking image of Raistlin by renowned artist Kekai Kotaki shows him channeling the timeless power of Fistandantilus through the Staff of Magius as he prepares to wield the ancient and mysterious magic of the Green Dragon Orb of King Lorac in one last stand against the Dragon Goddess Takhisis.
The chest hit is of course a flip of Jim Rosloff’s iconic Dragonlance logo painted by Larry Elmore.
Then we included Raistlin’s most haunting quote from the novels in metallic gold ink on the right sleeve bookended by golden hourglasses representing the young mage’s cursed eyes. The left sleeve is emblazoned the rose-shaped Majere constellation as it appears in the night sky above the continent of Krynn in which the stars glow in the dark.
The result is a piece worthy of anyone aspiring to unlock the power of the Order of the Black Robes!
