FRANK FRAZETTA - DEATH DEALER VI
Gath of Baal was given a helmet by the beautiful Sorceress Cobra, possessed by the god of death granting him godlike power but at the same time attempting to break his will. Through this galvanizing struggle, the man he was, was nearly lost as the legendary Lord of Destruction was born...THE DEATH DEALER. Since Frank Frazetta’s debut of the first Death Dealer painting in 1973, it has gone on to inspire all who behold its visceral power becoming the mascot for the US ARMY III Corps, appearing on the cover of a Molly Hatchet album cover, spawning multiple comic book series including one written by Glenn Danzig and illustrated by Simon Bisley, inspiring table top role playing games, and becoming the central character of a series of four novels that inspired the text used on the back of the shirt as well as the pulp novel font used on the front. The Death Dealer embodies Frank Frazetta’s legacy, and this painting especially captures the raw fury and savage strength of one of fantasy’s most legendary and enduring characters.
